Default New profession: Chronomancer

Basically a time mage. He focuses on spiking with a LARGE amount of cheap spells but in turn they do less average damage, and spells under the Chronologic recall cause the enemys recharging to take longer.

4 Stats

Chronologic Recall: Increases recharge speed of ALL skills/signets.

Chronologic Bombardment: Increases the DPS of all spells.

Conjure Signet: Class specific, acts a bit like arcane theivery, in the sense it replaces itself with a 1 use signet.

Arcane Brilliance: Decreases the mana cost of all spells.

Rough idea, but could be very interesting, especially if the focus is on slowing the enemy down in all aspects versus outright manipulation or DPS.

Well, I'm not to sure, but it sounds as if things could get out of hand very quickly, if, for example, you took an E/Ch that had points in Arcane Brilliance and Chronologic recall. Low recharge, low mana cost, high damage.

OH EXPLOITABLE.

The idea is original (you didn't say ninja or pirate at all!) and I like the
overall presentation but this is WAY (read: seriously) overpowered.
A pack of these in a group would be a flat out gankfest.

Yeah I suppose, surely there must be a way to balance it?

Perhaps instead of increasing damage, it would slow the enemy by 5.....40% on each strike, and the spells take 2-3 seconds each on average to cast, while the slow effect fades after 2 seconds. So they wouldn't be perma froze.

That sounds a little better, and it fits the whole 'time mage' theme
better than just increased damage.

My main inspiration is every single RPG has the same re-hashed classes. A warrior. An archer. Some sort of healer, and a couple hybrids.

Lol just like guild wars.

I like the idea, even if the game is already caster heavy in character
selection. I'd enjoy playing the char you've described though.

Time for bed, GG

Yes, if we weren't all tired of the old classes we wouldn't be trying to think up new ones
The idea is good, the development of it isn't so.

this sounds like an ele with me casting abilities to me, with an attempt to balance the blend.

ya is like FFAT and also like i said b4 we could take some ideas of games like those, cause as many times as i play GW i think of Fire Emblem mostly cause of similarities in proffesions.

Hurting the enemy would be a lot better than benefitting yourself with a character like this IMHO.

If there is enough skills available for this class, I think this idea is quite good. On first impression, it seems not many skills can be obtained from this class but im sure, like skill balancing, this can be overcome.
